There are many existing initiatives to encourage and facilitate more efficient crop production and improved crop storage.
As crop yields increase, U-MIX aims to enable these farmers to utilise their surplus harvest to produce feed, adding value to these crops, and enabling poultry and pig production. U-MIX helps small-scale farmers overcome the obstacles they face in producing their own feed by providing recipes for nutritionally balanced, high quality feeds alongside the U-MIX premix which fortifies the feed with the required vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, and toxin binders. Enabling small-scale farmers to utilise their own crops to produce feed in batch sizes suited to their smaller operations.
Livestock production will provide these farmers with the opportunity to support their families by providing food at home as well as obtaining an additional source of income through the sale of live chickens and pigs, meat and eggs.
